Meet Your Support System: Getting to Know Your Doula

Her passion to work in childcare started out at a young age. She began this journey by becoming a camp counselor at the age of 15. She had no experience so they started her out in the nursery. She went back to being a counselor every year until she graduated high school, taking on age groups between newborns to 9 years old. College and life took over, but she just couldn't find her niche; her Passion. Then a friend who saw her heart suggested a new career. She is a Certified Postpartum and Infant Care Doula and Labor Doula through Prodoula. She cares about the mental health and the functionality of families. Tara believes that knowledge is power; so she is never done learning. She does this so that she is able to provide the best up-to-date support and knowledge for families she works with. When Tara is not doing birth work, you can find her exploring the town, hiking, cooking, doing yoga or watching a movie.
